I’m so excited to be one of the finalists in the 2018 mumandworking Awards!
I’m in the Self Employed Parent of the Year (Central) category and will find out who the winner is at the awards ceremony on 6th March in London!
Being a self employed ‘mumpreneur’ can be challenging at times as I juggle work, children and home life, but for me and my family it is worth the effort.
I love the fact that I can drop my boys off at school in the morning, pick them up at the end of the day and be there for assemblies, sports days, school trips and many more activities! Seeing their faces light up when they see me at an event also makes it worthwhile and I know that we are making memories that they will have for life. I still have memories of my mum and dad being at events I was involved in when I was growing up and I want my boys to have the same experience.
I also love running bras4mums and being able to support women across the country be fitted with comfortable and supportive maternity and nursing bras, either through my home fitting service across Cambridgeshire, or remotely by message or phone.
Being recognised for my work, even if I don’t win in my category, means a huge amount to me and I look forward to many more years of juggling work and family life!
